Weather is an IP.Board add-on application that shows current weather conditions and forecasts on your forums index page.

The default configuration shows weather for Charlotte, NC but you and your members can change that.

Requirements

Weather requires php soap. Do not purchase Weather until you are sure your server has php soap installed!

To see if you have php soap installed:

• go to the Support tab in your AdminCP
• click on the PHP_INFO link
• scroll down looking for soap. See the soap screen shot for an example.

Features:

• current conditions include a summary with icon, wind speed and direction, humidity, dew point, pressure, and sunrise and sunset times
• supports both English and Metric units
• forecasts include a summary with icon, high and low temperature, and details
• uses the WeatherBug api which has proven to be fast and reliable during development
• HotLinks: the Weather block title bar, and the conditions and forecast icons are hot linked to the WeatherBug web site so you can quickly get additional information. I personally like the 7 day forecasts and the weather cams.
• each of your members can configure Weather to show current conditions and forecasts for a location of their choosing
• admins can configure a default location
• conditions and forecasts are cached for performance; admins can configure how long each is cached for
• dashboard notification when a new version is available
• support forums and bug tracker at FischerOnline
