General Information

KeyCAPTCHA is a free service providing effective anti-spam protection by highly attractive interactive captchas.

Unlike many other captchas, it does not require any text typing.

Your website visitors are offered a puzzle: to restore original compound image-scene (according to a thumbnail in the upper right corner) by drag&dropping movable elements from the upper left corner. One of the tasks of our KeyCAPTCHA, as an example, asks a visitor to place movable tea cups on the fixed saucers to match their color and ornament.

Effective Anti-Spam Protection

Our service uses geo-cluster including servers located in different data-centers of Europe. Some of them are in DDoS stable data-centers in Switzerland. All these enable us to provide 24x7x365 KeyCAPTCHA service.

KeyCAPTCHA provides multiple conceptually different spam-proofing mechanisms. To this moment, KeyCAPTCHA was never broken by spam bots because:

• All objects of our CAPTCHA are each time received in a random order from KeyCAPTCHA servers. The objects are cut into a random number of pieces with varied size.
• Each time fixed KeyCAPTCHA objects are allocated randomly (at random coordinates and in random order).
• Webpage protected by KeyCAPTCHA has no information on correct solution.
• All data exchange is digitally signed and validated by your and KeyCAPTCHA servers only.
• We use a password with variable length (112-165 bits) to calculate digital signature.
• If there are too many requests from the same IP address, the queries from that IP are automatically blocked for 10 minutes.
• KeyCAPTCHA is a program code executing in a visitor's web-browser but not a static picture passively shown in other captchas, easily identified by spam bots.
• Our captcha can't be transferred to 3d parties for human solving, the way spambots usually bypass other captchas they cannot solve themselves. For this, a visitors IP address is included into digital signature.
• Probability of guessing the answer of the KeyCAPTCHA movable objects is 1/30 000 000.
• Filtering of anonymous proxies is a unique service of KeyCAPTCHA permitting to restrict even direct manual (human) spamming. It allows blocking messages from visitors using anonymous proxy servers. The list of anonymous proxy servers is updated every hour and contains thousands of unique addresses spammers usually use to work.

KeyCAPTCHA, in contrast to other spam-proofing services, can operate without direct outgoing requests from your web-server to KeyCAPTCHA servers. This enables to use our KeyCAPTCHA in shared hostings which usually block outgoing requests

Installation

• Register on and log-in to our site (https://www.keycaptc...ccounts/reguser).
• Add your site URL on "My Sites" page (note that you can add many sites to protect under the same account) .
• Choose IP.Board from "CMS" dropdown.
• Choose the version of your IP.Board.
• Choose "Installation Instructions" in the right menu "Free Account".
• Follow KeyCAPTCHA installation instructions on the opened page.
