This application will strengthen the security in your forum in regard to spam posting by way of Keyword checking.<br /><br />You can add unlimited spam keywords that you want to block from being posted in the following areas.<br /><br />1) Posts<br /><br />2) Topics and Topic Titles<br /><br />3) PM Subjects and Pm Messages<br /><br />4) Signatures<br /><br />5) Profile Status Updates<br /> <br /><br />Keywords can be anything. You can also block urls with this by entering www, http, .com  or block a particular url/s. The possibilities are endless. This is also ideal imho to protect against rivals who might approach your users in private to join their forums.<br /><br />Anyway, only users whose post count is below the number set by the admin will be affected by this. You can also exclude a group/s and/ir forum/s from the Spam Stopper restrictions.<br /> <br />Also if an user posts normally and then will try to edit his/her posts to place a spam keyword, then the post edit will not be saved but they will get an error informing them that their post content has a suspected spam keyword.<br /><br />Installation and Configuration:<br /><br />To install this application, upload the admin folder inside the Upload folder to the root of your forum folder. Then go to your Admin Panel->Applications & Modules->Manage Applications & Modules and on the right side where it says: Applications Not Installed you will see a new application added called: Spam Stopper. Click on the install button.<br /><br />To configure it go to the Other Apps tab then from the drop down list choose Spam Stopper and it will take you to the management/settings area.<br /><br />Several screenshots of the Application Settings and how it looks like when being used are attached below so it will give you a more detailed idea.
