The Ajax Live Search (ALS) is an Ajax based search system that displays search results while typing in the keyword(s). This hook uses the jQuery library and was developed on IPB 3.4.2 - it should work with all 3.4.x versions. I think it runs on older versions too, but I can’t promise it!

On my website language is German but you can translate everything easily in the settings.

Important:

This version sorts the results by last post date. I will add more options and functionality in future versions.

New 1.x Versions will be free to download for purchasers of 1.0.

 

Features / Settings:

- set Group Permission

- set Forums to search in

- set number of results

- clean and dynamic / fluid style

- custom words / translation

 

Installation:

1. Upload the contents of the "uploads" folder to your home directory

2. Install the hook (als.xml) via Admin CP

3. Go to "AL Search" Settings and configure it

4. Done!

 

De-Installation:

1. Uninstall the hook in the Admin CP

2. Delete als_search.php from the /public/ folder

3. Done!
