(PIN) Awards Management System The (PIN) Awards Management System is, as the name suggests, an awards management system. It allows you, as the admin, to create and define awards categories and place awards within those categories. It gives you the power to decide who is able to view, give and take awards on a per category basis. You are also able to designate any number of groups as ?Global Awards Mods?, these Global Awards Mods will be able to see, give and take awards from all of your categories. On the admin side you are able to restrict admins from accessing each of the main functions of the awards mod. Two hooks ship with this mod, one to place the mod buttons in the profile for those who have the permissions to give and remove awards and the other is the awards cabinet that is shown in the topic view which has two options when enabled in the Awards Settings. I'm planning on the initial stream being a free version and releasing a more "feature rich" paid stream later on. If/When a paid version is released the free version will continue to be maintained for IPB but no new features will be added to the free version once the paid version is released. It's very easy to get this hook back if you have deleted it accidentally. If you do not have the IPB .zip file to hand, download it. To access your IPN history, please log into PayPal. Hover over the 'History' link and then select "IPN History" from the drop down box. This page shows an overview of all recent IPN actions. The column "HTTP Response Code" tells us whether or not a transaction was successful. "200" means "ok". "404" means not found. "403" means no permission. You may see other codes too. OpenID Security Update for IP.Board 3.0.2 We are investigating issues related to OpenID not completely authenticating data which can result in the security of your community being compromised. This issue can only impact your community if you have enabled OpenID logins as the OpenID is disabled when IPS ships IP.Board releases. Protecting Your IP.Board There are two methods to protect your community. Method 1: Disable OpenID The easiest fix is to simply disable OpenID logins. These login systems are disabled by default in IP.Board so unless you have specifically turned on OpenID you are already protected. This screen shot shows you what to look for in your AdminCP: Click "Log In Management" in the AdminCP Look for OpenID in the list. If there is already a red "X" then OpenID is disabled and your community is safe from this issue. If you see a green check: disable OpenID by clicking the drop-down menu to the right, edit details, and set "Log In Enabled" to "No" If OpenID is disabled and you do not use/need this login method you do not need to do anything further. Method 2: Upload Source File If OpenID is in use in your community and you need to keep it enabled simply upload the attached file to your forums directory. This article explains how to set up your PayPal IPN to communicate with IP.Subscriptions. Please read this article if you are finding all your transactions are returning "NOT VERIFIED - not_valid". Overview: Log into PayPal. Click on "Profile" ignoring the drop down menu that appears on mouse over. Click on Instant Payment Notifications in the far right column. If you do not see this, then you do not have a business PayPal account and cannot set up your IP.Subscriptions application with PayPal. If you do not have IPN switched on, then click on Edit IPN Settings. If you do have it set up, then you do not need to proceed any further. Even if the URL is different, this does not matter as IP.Subscriptions will send the correct URL inline. Enter the notification URL as: http://yourURLhere.com/forums/index.php?app=subscriptions&module=incoming&section=receive&do=validate&type=paypal naturally replacing yourURLhere.com/forums with the correct URL to your forums.
